Colby Covington made things look easy in his first RAF title defense, defeating Belal Muhammad in the main event of RAF 13 to retain the RAF Cruiserweight Crossover Championship.

After an early eye poke from Covington, Muhammad counters his first takedown attempt well. But his second leads to a throw with a back take and out of bounds, giving Covington a 4-0 lead quickly. Covington made it 6-0 with one more takedown before the end of the period.

After no movement to start the second period, Muhammad was placed on the shot clock. Muhammad attempted a double-leg, but Covington stuffed it and got to the back, attempting a gut-wrench, but coming up short.

However, Muhammad crawled out with two seconds left on the shot clock. With the score at 9-0, the shot clock’s expiration gave Covington a 10th point, giving Covington the win on technical fall.

Covington defeated Arman Tsarukyan at RAF 11 to become the inaugural champion.
