Dana White to Meet with Trump for Press Secretary Role

UFC CEO and President Dana White said that he will be flying to Washington, D.C., to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump after an offer to become White House press secretary.

Despite reports that he has already declined the role, UFC CEO and President Dana White said he will be meeting with friend and U.S. President Donald Trump regarding Trump’s offer to become White House press secretary.

When asked about the offer from the U.S. president, who revealed the offer on Truth Social, White said at the Zuffa Boxing 13 post-fight press conference that he was flying to Washington, D.C., immediately for an upcoming meeting with Trump.

“I’m flying to Washington, D.C. right now,” White said. “I have a meeting on Monday; I’m sure I’ll have more to talk about.”

Some outlets, including CNN, had reported that White had already declined the opportunity, but it is unclear which direction White will go in.

White quipped about the workload he already deals with between the UFC, Zuffa Boxing, and Power Slap.

“I got a lot of jobs already,” White said.

It’s unclear if he will have to resign from any, or all, of his current roles.

The White House Press Secretary position has been vacant since the end of Katie Zacharia’s five-day tenure.

“I am pleased to announce that the Great Dana White, a violent Fighter and Warrior, has been offered the job of Press Secretary of the United States,” Trump wrote on social media earlier in the day on November 7. “We need these people to defend us against the Lunatic Left. Dana will be a Press Secretary like none other. Dana, please take the job!”
