Jake Paul is picking another fight with Dana White, this time over boxing’s sanctioning bodies.
The rivalry between “The Problem Child” and the UFC boss has simmered for years, and Paul reignited it after White’s Zuffa Boxing operation signaled its fighters would compete for one of the four major world titles. To Paul, that’s a sharp reversal from White’s earlier rhetoric, and he called it out in a post on X.
They went from s—-ing on all of the boxing sanctioning bodies and how they need to get rid of them for the good of boxing to now this. Truth is we need to further align promoters and the sanctioning bodies to create the biggest opportunities for boxers.
Paul, who has aligned himself with promoter Eddie Hearn, framed his own vision as the more constructive path forward.
That should be the goal. More transparency, more collaboration and more big fights.
It’s the latest jab in a feud that Paul does most of the work to keep alive, even as White regularly fires back. With Zuffa Boxing now up and running and Paul deepening his ties to Hearn’s Matchroom, the two sit on opposite sides of a boxing landscape that’s suddenly very crowded at the top.
Paul is coming off the worst night of his boxing career, a stoppage loss to Anthony Joshua in Miami last December, but he remains one of the sport’s biggest attractions and loudest voices.
