Payton Talbott’s return to the Octagon gives him another win over a former champion, making quick work of Deiveson Figueiredo in the co-main event of UFC 332.
Talbott troubled Figueiredo from the first minute of the fight, landing a left-right combination that dropped the former flyweight champion. Talbott continued to pour on the pressure, landing a knee to the head, a damaging elbow, and a high kick with Figueiredo on the fence.
Talbott continued to throw hands on Figueiredo, forcing him to cover up against the fence and not defend, forcing the referee to end the fight in just over two minutes.
This was Talbott’s first fight since defeating Henry Cejudo at UFC 323 this past December. He’s now won three straight.
Talbott called out Sean O’Malley after the fight, and Joe Rogan and Daniel Cormier hyped up that idea on commentary.
