Michael Chandler’s long-discussed WWE ambitions may be getting closer to reality after the UFC veteran was reportedly spotted at the WWE Performance Center.
According to a report from False Finish, Chandler was at WWE’s training facility in Orlando on Monday, although his exact reason for being there remains unknown. There has been no confirmation that the visit was connected to a potential WWE deal or that “Iron” was participating in any in-ring training.
Still, the timing is intriguing given Chandler’s long-standing interest in professional wrestling.
The former three-time Bellator lightweight champion has previously crossed paths with WWE. Chandler appeared on Monday Night Raw in February 2024, where he cut an in-ring promo targeting longtime rival Conor McGregor.
He has also openly discussed the possibility of working for WWE, revealing in 2025 that he had spoken with Triple H about potentially joining the company.
I was talking to WWE, talking to Triple H about my WWE contract,” Chandler said at the time. “So we’re trying to make that happen.
For now, “Iron” remains an active UFC fighter. The 40-year-old last competed at UFC Freedom 250 in June, where Mauricio Ruffy stopped him by TKO in the first round. The defeat extended Chandler’s current losing streak to four fights.
The former UFC lightweight title challenger owns a 23-11 professional record and is 2-6 inside the UFC, having made his Octagon debut in January 2021. His UFC run includes victories over Dan Hooker and Tony Ferguson, but he has struggled considerably in recent years.
