Alex Pereira, known as Poatan, is a Brazilian mixed martial artist and former two-time UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. A former Glory kickboxing champion in two weight classes, he carried his elite striking into MMA and rose to the UFC light heavyweight title, which he won and later regained before vacating the belt in April 2026. Training out of Teixeira MMA & Fitness, Pereira is renowned for his knockout power, with most of his wins coming by stoppage. He holds a professional MMA record of 13 wins and 3 losses.
