ByThomas AlbanoMixed Martial Arts Journalist

Abdul-Rakhman Yakhyaev has produced one of the fastest knockouts in the history of the UFC, needing just eight seconds to knock out Julius Walker during the UFC Baku prelims.

As Walker attempted to throw a punch of his own, Yakhyaev landed a counter right that landed on the button, violently dropping Walker. Some follow-up shots finished the fight emphatically.

This finish is tied for the second-fastest in UFC light heavyweight history. James Irvin’s finish of Houston Alexander at UFC Fight Night 13 in April 2008 was also eight seconds. The fastest UFC light heavyweight knockout happened when Ryan Jimmo knocked out Anthony Perosh in seven seconds at UFC 149.

Walker falls to 7-3. He is just 1-3 since making his UFC debut in February 2025.
