Andre Petroski Pounds His Way To First Finish in 4 Years

Andre Petroski snaps a three-fight losing skid in a performance that he needed, scoring a second-round TKO of Mantas Kondratavicius thanks to his ground-and-pound.

For the first time since 2022, Andre Petroski has a finish in the Octagon, as he took out Mantas Kondratavicius during the UFC Vegas 123 prelims.

Kondratavicius looked to pressure Petroski with his striking early, but Petroski answered with a trip and pulled him into his guard. On the ground, Petroski controlled the action, landing plenty of shots as Kondratavicius struggled.

Round two continued the story: on the feet, Kondratavicius was able to land with power and do damage, coming forward. When Petroski got the takedown, however, he overwhelmed Kondratavicius with pressure and strikes.

Petroski’s ground-and-pound ultimately proved to be too much, as the Philadelphia native scored the finish late in the second.

Petroski rebounds here after a three-fight losing skid, most recently getting stopped by Cody Brundage in May.
