Eleven days after he earned a UFC contract on the premiere of Dana White’s Contender Series season 10, Anthony Wint impresses in his UFC debut, scoring another first-round finish in the first bout of the UFC Sacramento main card.

“It wasn’t the gameplan but that’s what happened,” Wint said in his post-fight interview. “Y’all are in trouble!”

After 90 seconds where both flashed their jab, alongside a couple of leg kicks from Wint, Wint went forward and briefly lifted Chatman as the two battled in the clinch. Wint succeeded with a single-leg takedown, but Chatman threatened a kimura while Wint mixed up body and head punches.

After surviving the kimura attempt, Wint slowly pressured his way up Chatman, eventually sinking in an arm-triangle choke. Wint put Chatman out to score the first-round technical submission.

Wint now moves to 8-0. He earned the UFC contract off a 34-second finish of Matt Adams on DWCS. Wint is also a former Fury FC heavyweight champion.
