Bella Mir is willing to fight Mya Lesnar at any weight class, as long as the money is right.
“Everyone is always trying to get me to fight her,” Mir told Uncrowned. “I’m like, if the money’s there I’ll do it. I would do any weight class, too.” Mir said she has never met Mya.
The tone is different from last July. Then, Mir told MMA Fighting that Mya should “just train for a year” and pitched the matchup as the Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir trilogy in daughter form. This time the pitch is about the payday.
Mir is also coming off the first loss of her pro career. Alex Apodaca beat her by unanimous decision in the Dana White’s Contender Series main event on Aug. 25, in the biggest upset in the show’s history. Mir was the largest betting favorite the series has ever had, and the result dropped her to 4-1.
The fight remains a long shot. Mya, 24, has never competed in combat sports. She is a two-time NCAA shot put champion, winning the 2024 indoor and 2025 outdoor titles at Colorado State. When Brock confirmed his retirement on The Pat McAfee Show on Aug. 4, he said his daughter has her eye on the 2028 Olympics, as SEScoops reported.
The family history is why the idea keeps coming up. Frank Mir submitted Brock with a kneebar at UFC 81, and Brock won the rematch at UFC 100. Neither father got a third fight.
For now, Mir’s next test is back on the mat. The reigning NCAA champion at 145 pounds meets Kennedy Blades at RAF Abu Dhabi on Nov. 14.
