Dana White Claims UFC Is Producing The Fury-Joshua Fight

Dana White says the UFC is producing Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua, a day after he skipped the London launch press conference. Speaking at the UFC 332 press conference in Salt Lake City, White said, “Not am I promoting the fight, we’re producing the fight too. UFC is producing the show.”

UFC on TNT Sports clipped the line. It lands on top of the paperwork fight with Eddie Hearn. Zuffa Boxing was left off the official Fury-Joshua paperwork, and Hearn has already challenged White’s role. Nobody at the table mentioned a lawsuit. That part is fan talk on X.

White also agreed King Green qualifies for a BMF title fight if he beats Esteban Ribovics on Saturday at UFC 332.

Green and Ribovics supplied the only heat

Green called the room too quiet and said it was a press conference, not a job interview. He told the media, “We came to steal the show like a thief in the night.” Ribovics answered with “shut the fuck up, Minnie Mouse.” Green asked if that was the only English he knew, then came back with “Poquito, yea papa.” Ribovics had already said he would bite Green’s finger if Green poked him at the faceoff.

The faceoffs were mostly quiet. Natalia Silva and Wang Cong stayed at a distance ahead of their vacant women’s flyweight title fight. Former flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo shoved Payton Talbott, the only contact MMA Junkie reported from the 10 main-card staredowns. Roberto Soldic met Khaos Williams, and Ateba Gautier met Roman Kopylov.

Silva meets Wang Cong on Saturday, October 3, at Delta Center after Valentina Shevchenko vacated the belt with an injury. Reaction from the room was that White was reading a script and could not explain why Wang is in a title fight. Outside the Green exchange, the press conference did not sell the card.
