Dana White Gives Update On One-Of-A-Kind Event UFC Is Working On

Dana White has killed the most popular guess about the UFC’s next spectacle.

White said in August that the company is working on another one-of-a-kind event, after saying, following the White House show, that he would never do anything on that scale again. Fans have been guessing at locations since, and a smile during one interview convinced plenty of them it was Mount Rushmore. He shut that down on the Pat McAfee Show.

That’s what drives me crazy when you do a podcast or something like that, the rumor is now that I’m doing an event at Mount Rushmore. It’s definitely not Mount Rushmore. No, it is not going to be Mount Rushmore.

The real site is further along than the guessing.

Actually, Craig Borsari, just landed last night, he’s been on the site where I wanna do it for four days, checking out the possibilities of getting this done. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I can announce it.

Borsari is the UFC’s head of production.

The Colosseum in Rome has been another popular answer, though White has been down that road before and was put off by the cost. With the location narrowed to American soil, Alcatraz Island has become the favored guess.

The precedent is mixed. UFC 306 at the Sphere in September 2024 was the first sporting event held at the venue. UFC Freedom 250 on the White House lawn in June drew the biggest audience the company has had, with Joe Rogan calling it the greatest night in combat sports history, and it ran at a reported $30 million loss.
