Jon Jones Calls Missing UFC White House Card A Big Regret

Jon Jones says missing the UFC White House card is one of the biggest regrets of his life, even as he says he probably is finished fighting.

Jones told The Schmo that June’s UFC Freedom 250 was one of the few nights in his career when he thought, “I should have been there.” He said he usually does not regret decisions, but being left off the card is one he does.

Jones campaigned publicly for a spot on the June 14 card on the White House grounds and said his team had been negotiating with the UFC. After the lineup was announced in March without him, White said Jones was never a consideration for the card, while Jones said he had been lowballed and asked the UFC for his release. The card instead featured an interim heavyweight title fight between Ciryl Gane and Alex Pereira in the co-main event.

Jones has not fought since his win over Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 in November 2024, and he said he believes that fight was his last time in the cage. He said he would be happy if he never fights again.

Jones said on X late Friday that he more than likely will not fight again but is still being drug tested, leaving the door open. He also spent the week trading barbs with Colby Covington, who has told Gable Steveson to train with Daniel Cormier instead.
