Nursulton Ruziboev continues to show how dangerous a fighter he is, finishing Andrey Pulyaev in the first round during the UFC Baku prelims.

Pulayev tried to stay on the outside, but Ruziboev limited his movement with pressure, landing a number of jabs before taking the fight to the ground. Pulayev tried to recover and get back up, but Ruziboev’s pressure was too much.

Ruziboev locked in a body triangle and secured a choke, holding it until Pulayev’s eyes rolled into the back of his head.

Ruziboev has now won three straight and is 5-1 in the Octagon since his 2023 debut, with his sole loss coming to Joaquin Buckley. Ruziboev entered this fight off a decision over Dustin Stoltzfus in May 2025.

Pulayev is just 1-3 in the UFC since winning a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2024. He competed earlier this year at UFC 324, losing to Ateba Gautier via decision.
