PFL New York went down on July 31 at the UBS Arena on Long Island, NY, featuring a PFL lightweight championship main event between Usman Nurmagomedov and Archie Colgan. Nurmagomedov scored a first-round TKO of Colgan to retain the championship.
Nurmagomedov dropped Colgan twice during the opening round and finished him with strikes.

Lightweight Championship: Usman Nurmagomedov def. Archie Colgan via KO (Rd. 1, 3:42) — After some exchanging between the pair in the round’s first few minutes, Nurmagomedov dropped Colgan with a head kick, following with a barrage of strikes.
Colgan got back to his feet, but an uppercut floored him again. Nurmagomedov’s follow-up flurry to a grounded Colgan then forced the referee to step in, allowing Nurmagomedov to retain the title.

Women’s Flyweight: Dakota Ditcheva vs. Denise Kielholtz via unanimous decision (30-27 x3) — It wasn’t the cleanest performance from Ditcheva, as she was tagged and taken down by Kielholtz. Ditcheva, however, was able to outwork Kielholtz, especially by damaging her with body shots, to sweep the scorecards.
Lightweight: Amru Magomedov def. Angel Alvarez via TKO (Rd. 2, 4:28) — Magomedov compromised Alvarez’s leg with kicks before ending things with ground-and-pound late in round two.
Light Heavyweight: Moustapha Diakhate def. Darryl Walker via TKO (Rd. 1, 2:35) — After rocking Walker early and controlling while in Walker’s guard, Diakhate landed a barrage of ground strikes that forced a stoppage.

Bantamweight: Lazaro Dayron def. Raufeon Stots via split decision (28-29, 29-28 x2) — A competitive, back-and-forth battle saw two judges feel Dayron’s striking was more effective than Stots’, as well as two takedowns from Dayron, but that proved a controversial decision in the eyes of the UBS Arena crowd.
Bantamweight: Sean Gauci def. Allan Begosso via unanimous decision (30-27 x3) — Gauci’s takedowns and grappling ability led him to sweeping the scorecards.
Catchweight (175 lbs.): Omar El Dafrawy def. Jonathan Piersma via unanimous decision (30-27 x2, 29-28) — From the opening minute, where El Dafrawy busted Piersma open with an elbow, it was flat-out domination, with the former PFL MENA champion landing 100+ more strikes. Piersma caused a scare in the final 90 seconds, threatening an armbar and a choke, but El Dafrawy was able to ride out the decisive decision victory.
Women’s Flyweight: Tatiana Postarnakova def. Montana De La Rosa via split decision (29-28 x2, 28-29) — Despite De La Rosa getting to her back in round one, Postarnakova threatened a couple of guillotines in round two and won a back-and-forth round three on two judges’ scorecards to score the split-decision victory.
Lightweight: Chamy Delva vs. Levan Khabalaev via TKO (Rd. 1, 1:44) — Khabalaev and Delva battled against the fence, with Khabalaev able to get the action to the ground. As Delva attempted to get up, Khabalev landed a knee to the body that floored Delva, leaving him in pain as the Brooklyn native finished the fight with punches.

The fight was the final on Nurmagomedov’s PFL deal, and there are rumors swirling the UFC will scoop him up.
