Silva enters 20-5-1 overall and unbeaten across eight UFC appearances, with wins over former champions Jessica Andrade, Alexa Grasso and Rose Namajunas headlining her run. Wang, 10-1, has won five of her last six inside the promotion, most recently beating Tracy Cortez at UFC 329 in July. Both rank inside the top six of the division, and the vacancy opened only after Shevchenko’s camp confirmed she would be sidelined.

- Figueiredo’s skid: Former flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo enters the co-main on a two-fight losing streak, having dropped decisions to Song Yadong and Umar Nurmagomedov. Sean O’Malley has publicly questioned the 38-year-old’s motivation, saying on his YouTube channel, “Every time I watch Deiveson Figueiredo, I never know. I’m like, does he look like he really wants to be in there?”
- Talbott’s opportunity: Payton Talbott has won his last two, over Felipe Lima and former two-division champion Henry Cejudo, and a win over a former champion in Figueiredo would be the biggest of his career.
Figueiredo has pushed back on the doubts surrounding his placement on the card. “I admit that I didn’t expect it, but there were some complications on the card, and I moved up to do the co-main event,” he said, adding of his opponent: “If I fight at my level, aggressively, I’m sure I’m going right at him, and with great chances of knocking him out.”
