After getting some eyeballs on her during her appearance on this season’s The Ultimate Fighter, Delphine Benouaich made the most of the opportunity with a violent finish of Sofia Montenegro in the first bout at UFC Paris.

Benouaich got off to a hot start with her striking, getting in the pocket and mixing up her striking, consistently tagging Montenegro with combinations. Montenegro looked to keep distance and tried to work Benouaich over with her kicking game, but it wasn’t doing anything compared to Benouaich’s work.

The second round started more evenly, with both finding the mark with their kicks and power punching. But Benouaich took the fight completely in her favor again after dropping Montenegro with a right hand.

Benouaich got right on top, landing some brutal ground-and-pound before getting to Montenegro’s back and locking up a choke, making Montenegro pass out.

An alumna of Ares FC, Benouaich scored a decision win over Mackenzie Stiller on The Ultimate Fighter before suffering a loss to Tina Black in the semifinals.
