UFC 332 has its last addition. Former NFL linebacker Anthony Wint will face Lucas Armand in a heavyweight bout on the October 3 card at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, with the promotion announcing the fight during the Dana White’s Contender Series broadcast.
Wint, 30, earned his UFC contract with a 34-second knockout on Contender Series in August, then finished his promotional debut just 11 days later, choking out Terrance Chatman at UFC Sacramento. He carries an 8-0 record into the Armand fight and previously played two NFL games as a linebacker for the New York Jets before pivoting to MMA.
Armand enters at 6-0, having earned his UFC 332 booking with a 16-second knockout of an opponent carrying a 9-23 record earlier this year. The heavyweight bout will mark his promotional debut.
UFC 332 is headlined by a vacant women’s flyweight title fight between Natalia Silva and Wang Cong, after Valentina Shevchenko was forced out with a shoulder and back injury.
