UFC legend Diego Sanchez was recently arrested on Monday in Socorro, NM, on charges of aggravated driving under the influence and probation violation.

Sanchez was arrested in July last year for shooting a loaded gun out of a car window while he was riding in the passenger seat on the highway. He was then sentenced to five years of supervised probation in March.

Prosecutors requested a two-year prison sentence for a fourth-degree felony charge of shooting at or from a motor vehicle.

It is worth noting that a second charge of negligent use of a deadly weapon was dropped as part of a plea agreement. However, one condition of that probation required Sanchez to stay away from alcohol which he has now violated.

Sanchez has been one of the standout stars to come out of “The Ultimate Fighter, Season 1 and competed 22 times in the UFC during his run from 2005 to 2022. His only fight since his departure from the promotion was a one-off fight for BKFC in February 2023.
