Conor McGregor has been spotted on crutches as he recovers from the knee injury that brought his long-awaited UFC comeback to an abrupt end.
TMZ photographed McGregor leaving the members-only Gravitas club in Beverly Hills with a visible surgical scar on his right knee. The former champion underwent surgery in August to repair the torn ACL and meniscus he suffered against Max Holloway at UFC 329.
That July 11 fight marked McGregor’s first Octagon appearance in five years. His return lasted only 69 seconds after he injured the knee while attempting a flying kick, leaving him unable to continue. Holloway was awarded a first round TKO victory.
McGregor has one bout remaining on his current UFC contract and is targeting International Fight Week in the summer of 2027 for his return. He has described the proposed appearance as “The Last Dance,” although no fight has been announced.
A third meeting with Holloway would give both fighters an opportunity to settle their series. McGregor won their first encounter by unanimous decision at featherweight in August 2013, while Holloway evened the rivalry in their UFC 329 welterweight rematch.
McGregor has not ruled out signing another UFC agreement after completing his existing deal. For now, his immediate priority is rehabilitating the latest major injury of a career that has already included a lengthy recovery from the broken leg he suffered in 2021.
