Dominick Reyes Continues Resurgence, Stops Azamat Murzakanov

Dominick Reyes has his eye back toward the top of the UFC's light heavyweight rankings, making a statement with a strong performance against Azamat Murzakanov.

We’ve seen Dominick Reyes look like his old self of late, but UFC 333 seemed to be one of the better performances of his career. Reyes made easy work of Azamat Murzakanov in the featured prelim.

Reyes used his physical advantage to its full potential, landing from range with plenty of low kicks. Murzakanov tried to work from the center, but he couldn’t get much going while dealing with Reyes’ length and strikes.

After slipping while landing a head kick, Reyes blasted Murzakanov with a left hand, dropping him and putting him out with follow-up punches.

Reyes used his post-fight interview to call out either Paulo Costa or Khalil Rountree Jr. for his next fight.

Reyes has won five of six since returning from a two-year layoff in 2024. He entered this fight off a split-decision win over Johnny Walker at UFC 327.
