Jake and Logan Paul are taking their combat sports ambitions to television, with the brothers set to coach a new fight competition series that has been greenlit by Hulu and ESPN.
Deadline was first to report the news, revealing that the untitled series, previously known by the working title Fight Island, is being developed by Brent Montgomery’s Wheelhouse alongside Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions. The project is already casting and is expected to begin production in the new year.
The concept puts a distinctly different spin on the traditional reality competition format. Instead of contestants being eliminated through votes or judges’ decisions, fighters will have to settle their fate inside the combat arena. Competitors will be divided into two teams led by Jake and Logan, with the fighters living and training together while competing across a variety of disciplines.
The lineup of combat sports will extend well beyond boxing and MMA, incorporating wrestling, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai and karate. The contestants will also have a major role in determining who they face, adding a strategic element to the competition as alliances and rivalries develop throughout the season.
Jake And Logan Paul Bring Combat Sports To A New Audience
The series represents the first project jointly greenlit by Hulu and ESPN and is expected to give Hulu a male-skewing addition to its unscripted programming slate. The brothers bring an enormous built-in audience to the project, with more than 100 million followers combined across TikTok, Instagram and X.
Both Jake and Logan have built careers that eventually expanded from online entertainment into combat sports. Logan transitioned from exhibition boxing into WWE, where he became United States Champion, while Jake established himself as a professional boxer and launched MVP with Nakisa Bidarian in 2021.
Jake’s boxing career reached its biggest mainstream moment in 2024 when he faced Mike Tyson in a Netflix event that drew more than 100 million viewers globally.
The new series continues that crossover between entertainment and combat sports, with the Paul brothers promising a competition where fighters must choose their opponents, survive each matchup and ultimately produce one male and one female winner.
The project will be executive produced by figures from Wheelhouse, MVP and the Paul brothers’ respective teams, including Montgomery, Bidarian and Jake Paul.
