It didn’t take long for UFC Vegas 121 to bring the violence, as a rampage of shots from Yazmin Jauregui helped her get a quick finish of Vanessa Demopoulos to start the prelim action.
Only about 30 seconds or so into the fight, Jauregui landed a right hand that wobbled Demopoulos. Once Jauregui landed that shot, she kept going, throwing a series of punches that continued to find the mark on her opponent. The blitz forced Demopoulos to back up to the fence, but she continued to try and swing away.
Jauregui’s pressure would become too much, however, and she dropped Demopoulos for a 62-second KO win.
This marked Jauregui’s first fight in two years, having previously fought at Noche UFC 2: UFC 306, getting submitted by Ketlen Souza. She now improves to 12-2 as an MMA pro.
