One of the UFC’s most celebrated Mexican athletes and a former Noche UFC headliner will do battle in the main event of Noche UFC 4 on September 12.
The fourth-annual Mexican Independence Day celebration card from the UFC will be topped by a featherweight clash featuring Yair Rodriguez and Jean Silva.
Higor Ciconello was the first to report the news. The UFC has not yet officially announced the main event of Noche UFC 4.
This marks Rodriguez’s first fight in about a year-and-a-half, having not been seen since his UFC 314 victory over Patricio Pitbull in April 2025. Despite Rodriguez’s Mexican blood, this will be his first time competing on a Noche UFC card.
The former TUF: Latin America winner is 3-2 in his last five, which includes defeating Josh Emmett for the interim featherweight title but falling short in an undisputed title fight with Alexander Volkanovski.
Silva fought in the main event of last year’s Noche UFC event, getting finished by Diego Lopes. It was Silva’s first UFC loss, and just his third MMA loss overall, but he rebounded with a decision over Arnold Allen at UFC 325 earlier this year.
