Nick Diaz Was Allegedly Supposed To Make MMA Return Earlier This Year

Dillon Danis claims Nick Diaz had agreed to fight him after his canceled Mike Perry bout, and says Nate Diaz turned down a $1 million offer to face him.

Dillon Danis says he came close to fighting a Diaz brother this year. Just not the one he keeps calling out.

During a scrum ahead of RAF 14, Danis claimed Nick Diaz had agreed to face him in MMA.

Nick Diaz was supposed to fight, I’m not supposed to even say this, Nick was agreeing to it but he’s a little, he’s going through some stuff, but Nick was supposed to be the fight after Perry.

Danis did not give details, and the claim has not been confirmed by Diaz’s side. Nick Diaz teased an MMA return earlier this year.

Danis was booked to face Mike Perry in August but pulled out after suffering a cut in training. He has also kept up his callouts of Nate Diaz, claiming Nate turned down a $1 million offer.

He was offered millions of dollars, millions of dollars, if I’m such an easy fight, you’re not gonna take $1 million? And in the contract it said if I pull out he gets $250,000, why wouldn’t you take that if it was such an easy fight?

I could beat Nick and Nate in the same night in the same ring… Put me in the cage with the Diaz’s, please. It’d be the funnest night of my life.

Friday night didn’t go Danis’ way. Arman Tsarukyan beat him 10-0 by technical fall at RAF 14 to win the inaugural RAF middleweight crossover title, then stepped on his chest after the match.

It was Danis’ third straight RAF loss after defeats to Colby Covington and Khamzat Chimaev.
