UFC Fight Night Moicano vs. Nolan Preview (UFC Vegas 123)

Renato Moicano faces Tom Nolan in the UFC Vegas 123 main event Saturday at Meta APEX. Full fight card, start times and how to stream it on Paramount+.

Renato Moicano and Tom Nolan headline the next UFC Fight Night (UFC Vegas 123) on Saturday, Oct. 31, at Meta APEX in Las Vegas. The full 12-fight card streams on Paramount+ in the United States, with prelims at 5 p.m. ET and the main card at 8 p.m. ET.

Moicano wasn’t supposed to be here. He was booked to rematch Brian Ortega at UFC 331 in September, but Ortega withdrew with a cut, the second time Ortega pulled out of the fight this year. The UFC moved Moicano to this Halloween headliner against Nolan instead.

Fight Night Stakes

Moicano, 37, is a former lightweight title challenger sitting inside the division’s Top 10. This is his second main event of 2026, and the job is to prove he’s still a threat to the names above him rather than a stepping stone for the ones coming up.

Nolan, 26, has won five straight and gets his first UFC main event and his first five-round fight. The UFC announced him as the No. 11 contender when it made the booking in September. Beating a Top 10 name would top his decision over Farès Ziam in June, which the UFC calls the biggest win of his career so far.

There’s a business layer for Moicano too. He told MMA Fighting this week that he has three fights left on his contract and wants to fight out the deal and test free agency, so every result from here shapes what he’s worth on the open market.

The case for Renato Moicano

Moicano got back in the win column in April, submitting American Top Team teammate Chris Duncan in the second round of his last APEX headliner. That snapped a two-fight skid: a title fight loss to Islam Makhachev at UFC 311 in January 2025 and a decision loss to Beneil Dariush at UFC 317 that June.

Before that run, wins over Benoît Saint Denis and Jalin Turner kept him among the division’s leading contenders. The Duncan finish came by rear-naked choke, a reminder of how quickly he can end a fight on the mat.

Moicano doesn’t think he got the easier assignment. Speaking with Ariel Helwani after the switch, he called the Ortega rematch the more comfortable matchup and gave Nolan his due.

Tom Nolan would be harder, but it is what it is, you know?

The case for Tom Nolan

Nolan (11-1) lost his UFC debut and hasn’t lost since. His streak includes first-round finishes of Charlie Campbell and Victor Martinez before the unanimous decision over Ziam in June.

The Australian also brings a physical edge. He stands 6-foot-3 to Moicano’s 5-foot-11, fights southpaw against Moicano’s orthodox stance, and has a one-inch reach advantage at 73 inches.

The question is the jump in competition and the extra 10 minutes. Moicano has worked in five-round main events before; this is Nolan’s first. Betting markets have priced it close to even all week, and the line has flipped toward Moicano in recent days.

Elsewhere on the main card

  • Randy Brown meets unbeaten Jacobe Smith in the welterweight co-main. Smith replaced Carlos Leal on less than two weeks’ notice, fresh off a first-round stoppage of Bruce Whitehead at UFC 332.
  • Yana Santos and Luana Santos both bring three-fight winning streaks into a women’s bantamweight fight with real divisional weight.
  • Mickey Gall returns for the first time since November 2024 against Zachary Reese. Gall has lost four straight, and Reese has dropped his last two.
