Matthieu Letho Duclos gave the French crowd another thrilling performance from a native fighter, scoring a first-round finish of Luis Felipe Dias at UFC Paris.
Duclos looked to keep his distance as he worked his jab, showing range management. Dias, meanwhile, took to the center and landed bursts of offense, trying to take control of the action and rattle Duclos.
Duclos just needed to find one big shot, however, and he found it late in the first. Duclos caught Dias coming in with a quick left hook, faceplanting him for the finish.
This was the UFC debut for Duclos, a former Hexagone MMA champion and one-time participant each in Bellator and Dana White’s Contender Series. Duclos has won five straight since his 2024 loss to Marco Tulio on DWCS.
