Six fighters collected a combined $450,000 in bonuses following Saturday’s Noche UFC 4 event at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
The UFC awarded $100,000 each to its four traditional bonus recipients, while two additional finishers received $25,000 apiece.
Tommy McMillen and Marwan Rahiki earned Fight of the Night honors for their bloody, back-and-forth featherweight contest. Rahiki threatened to finish the fight during a strong second round, but McMillen recovered and closed decisively to earn a unanimous decision by scores of 29-28, 29-28 and 29-27.
Both fighters received $100,000, giving McMillen his third post-fight bonus in as many UFC appearances. The undefeated prospect improved to 12-0 as their encounter drew immediate Fight of the Year consideration.
Jean Silva secured one of the two Performance of the Night awards after overcoming a difficult start against Jose Miguel Delgado in the main event. Delgado dropped Silva during the opening round, but the Brazilian gradually took control before hurting him with a right hand in the third.
Silva followed Delgado to the canvas and completed a one-armed rear-naked choke at 2:57.
Sean King III received the other $100,000 Performance bonus after producing a spectacular finish in his UFC debut. Originally expected to compete on Dana White’s Contender Series, King instead accepted a short-notice fight against Jessie Rosas.
King countered a takedown attempt by trapping Rosas’ arm, lifting him from the canvas and knocking him unconscious with a slam just 36 seconds into the fight.
Tommy Gantt and Yousri Belgaroui were awarded additional $25,000 finish bonuses.
Gantt submitted veteran lightweight Drakkar Klose with a reverse triangle choke at 2:46 of the third round. Belgaroui overwhelmed Djorden Santos with strikes to earn a first-round TKO at 4:25, recording his third consecutive UFC stoppage victory.
