Tony Ferguson has a title to defend, and an old colleague on the same card.
Ferguson meets Kenzo Biyong for the Misfits middleweight championship at the James L. Knight Center in Miami on September 26. Henry Cejudo headlines the show against Deen the Great in his boxing debut.
It is Ferguson’s first defense. He is 2-0 since leaving the UFC, having knocked out Salt Papi and then outpointed Warren Spencer to take the belt.
Biyong is an unusual challenger. The 28-year-old played professional soccer before switching to combat sports, is a Dutch national wrestling champion, and is signed to UFC BJJ. He has never boxed professionally. His first bout will be for a title.
Alex Pereira’s longtime trainer is on the card too. Plinio Cruz makes his professional boxing debut against Chase DeMoor for the Misfits heavyweight title, after months of arguing on social media. DeMoor has not fought for Misfits since beating Andrew Tate in December 2025, and has won seven professional bouts and a WBC belt since.
Ferguson is 42. He left the UFC in August 2024 after an eighth straight defeat, a run that took in Michael Chiesa, Paddy Pimblett, Bobby Green, Nate Diaz, Michael Chandler, Beneil Dariush, Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje.
More undercard bouts are expected to be announced.
